Walk-in Environmental Chamber — EWTH Series

The TestEQ EWTH-series walk-in environmental chamber provides a large test volume for bulky or heavy products and system-level test items. TestEQ builds walk-in rooms in modular-panel and fully welded constructions: because polyurethane panel insulation is limited to a maximum of 85 °C, a fully welded structure is used where a higher temperature range, faster temperature change rate or high-temperature high-humidity conditions are required.

Applications

  • Telecommunications, defense and aerospace equipment
  • Pharmaceutical, automotive and electronics industries
  • EV battery packs and energy storage systems
  • Large assemblies and system-level products
  • Products that must be driven or operated while under test

Configuration and features

  • Type A volumes from 7.8 m³ to 44.1 m³; Type B volumes from 6.8 m³ to 38.6 m³.
  • Low-temperature grades A to F: A = +25 °C, B = 0 °C, C = -20 °C, D = -40 °C, E = -60 °C, F = -70 °C. High temperature 85 °C (350 °C optional).
  • Humidity range 20 % to 98 % RH (5 % to 98 % RH is a special optional condition requiring a dehumidifier).
  • Temperature uniformity ≤ ±2.0 °C; temperature fluctuation ≤ ±0.3 °C.
  • Humidity fluctuation ±3 %RH; humidity deviation ≤ ±3 %RH (>75 %RH) and ≤ +5 %RH (≤75 %RH) at no load, constant state.
  • Modular structure for custom room sizes; internal and external dimensions are customised.
  • Chamber integrates refrigeration, heating, humidity generation, air circulation and PLC / AI control.
  • Rooms can be engineered to a customer’s own requirements, including airtight doors, safety locks, observation windows, interior lighting, access doors, personnel access and load handling.
  • Power AC380V, 3 phase 5 lines, 50/60 Hz.
  • Large walk-in temperature-humidity systems can be customised up to 4500 m³.

Large walk-in systems built to order

TestEQ has delivered an ultra-large walk-in environmental system of 1600 m³ total effective volume, built from multi-module panels with a wide temperature range of -65 °C to +120 °C and humidity control from 20 % to 98 % RH (expandable). The system uses a PLC with industrial touch control, multi-channel data acquisition (temperature/humidity/pressure), remote monitoring and automatic test-curve recording.
