A combined chamber runs temperature, humidity and vibration together. It is used in aerospace, communications, electronics and oil, among other fields. Two common types are defined by how the chamber meets the vibration table.

Vertical test type

This type connects to a range of vibration exciters and can produce horizontal, vertical and three-axis vibration. It is used most often for temperature, vibration and damp-heat testing of components, materials and parts. Operation is simple: a lifting device raises or lowers the chamber to the height of the shaker, and the chamber can also move horizontally, which suits setups where several shakers are used under one chamber. Removable base plates let it accept different shakers, and chamber movement is controlled from the control panel.

Vertical–horizontal test type

This type is paired with a separate shaker, and a wide range of shaker models can be selected. The body is a welded integral frame, which gives the stiffness needed to resist deformation. Its temperature and humidity control range is wide and uses balanced adjustment for stable, high-accuracy control. The programmable temperature-humidity controller and the refrigeration compressor are imported instruments; the controller supports touchscreen operation and the compressor is efficient in energy use, which helps keep running costs down.

Combined chambers are common equipment for new-product development, prototype testing and product qualification.
