The TestEQ ETH²-series HALT / HASS test chamber is an integrated environmental and multi-axis vibration test system. It accelerates failure discovery during product development and controlled production screening by combining rapid temperature transitions with multi-axis repetitive shock vibration, helping reliability engineers identify design weaknesses, determine operating and destruct limits, and evaluate robustness under combined stress.

Applications

  • Design-margin discovery (HALT) and production screening (HASS)
  • Electronics, PCB assemblies and interconnects
  • Automotive and EV power electronics
  • Aerospace, defense and communication equipment
  • Components and modules where latent defects must be exposed early

Configuration and features

  • Temperature range -100 °C to +200 °C.
  • Rapid temperature transition: up to 100 °C/min (standard support from 30 °C/min to 70 °C/min as an option).
  • Vibration system: 6-DOF pneumatic repetitive shock.
  • Vibration frequency range 5 to 10,000 Hz.
  • Consistency ≤ 20 %.
  • Multi-axis vibration is integrated with the thermal system; the DUT can be monitored for functional degradation, intermittent failures and structural weaknesses.
  • Extended vibration range available up to 70 Grms.
  • Power supply AC 380 V, 3-phase, 5-wire, 50/60 Hz.

Model designations include the ETH² series (for example ETH²-762 and ETH²-910). Temperature ramp rate and vibration performance should be evaluated under the intended DUT load and fixture configuration; unloaded maximum specifications may not represent actual test performance.

Standards

HALT and HASS are reliability engineering methodologies rather than a single compliance test defined by one universal standard. Commonly related standards and guidelines include MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-202, IEC 60068, RTCA DO-160 and JEDEC JESD22, together with ISO and NASA reliability guidance.
